Subject: Feedback on MMRDA App and NCMC Smart Card Charges
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to MMRDA for developing such an innovative and commuter-friendly mobile application. The app has greatly enhanced the travel experience across Mumbai’s Metro, BEST buses, and local trains by making ticketing simple, quick, and completely digital. The fact that it enables transactions without any additional service charges truly reflects MMRDA’s dedication to improving public transport convenience.
However, I have observed that when using the MMRDA Mumbai NCMC Smart Card for BEST bus ticket payments, an additional charge of approximately ₹0.11 is applied. Although this amount may seem minimal, it slightly affects the sense of fare transparency and consistency for regular commuters. I kindly request that MMRDA review this aspect and consider aligning fare deductions across all transport modes to maintain uniformity and commuter trust.
