MMR boundary has been extended by Government of Maharashtra to include Palghar Taluka from Palghar District in North and entire Khalapur, Pen and Alibaug Talukas of Raigad District in South, notified vide Notification dated 9th September, 2019. The total area of the MMR aggregates to about 6328 sq. Km.
